Iran and the United States completed a second round of indirect nuclear negotiations in Geneva mediated by Oman, with both sides agreeing on general “guiding principles” for future talks but no final deal reached and major differences remaining. Diplomatic language says “progress.” Regime officials say “guiding principles.” But inside Iran, arrests continue. Executions continue. Protesters disappear. While the West negotiates, the regime buys time. While Geneva drafts language, Iranians pay the price.
